“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”

i’m in new york city. i’m writing this because i’ve fallen into this odd crevasse of age where in new zealand, it’s my birthday, but in new york, there’s still a day to go. this is my first birthday away from home, which is cool except that my little brother, who was born on the same day as me,…
"But then I made the mixtape, Vicki Leekx. When I make things, it’s really instant. I went into the studio and it was finished in 48 hours. No one was around, no producers, no anything. You don’t need anyone’s help. You don’t have to suck dick. You don’t have to do nothing. And when I’m in the zone, that’s how fast I can make shit happen. I felt good.”
"You fuckin’ idiots decided to do the same shit with the same weak ass Katy Perry and Justin Bieber and all these weak ass things that everybody else knows, instead of giving people that actually do things a chance to shine."
It’s hard to argue that paying $9.99 a month for unlimited streaming on Spotify is really paying the bills for these artists, but what you cannot argue about is that they are in a way helping the music business. How, you ask? Let’s go through the process of discovery.
1.) The act of discovery As David Byrne said in his article, most people don’t “discover” new
“Don’t kiss anyone’s ass. Don’t do it. For the rest of your life, everyone will always tell you, ‘Pick your battles. Kiss a little bit of ass. Then you get to stop kissing ass later.’ It’s a lie. They all just want their ass kissed. They think that if they tell you that they’re gonna get to kiss less ass too. It’s all garbage. It’s all bullshit. You have to just do everything yourself.”—Dan Harmon’s Dad’s advice to young people (via nevver)
I saw Wilsen open up for Daugther a couple of months back, and it’s hard to forget such a soulful, beautiful, and great-sounding opening act. They did an awesome acoustic cover of Grimes - Oblivion that had me feeling like I was floating. Yeah, floating. So, it’s no surprise that I am now obsessed with this song by the band, give it a hear:
"The definition of insanity is ignoring the present moment for one’s own thoughts. We’re all insane sometimes, therefore. The trick—therefore—is to practice resting in the present moment, coming back again and again to our fundamentally "aok" human nature. Again and again and again and again." ~Dr. Willard Evans
